I booked three nights at the Kingsway Hotel Primarily because of its close location to a wedding we were attending also because the website said there was hotel parking available. When we arrived at the hotel I was disappointed that there was no parking space available, as this was important to me and one of the main reasons for picking this hotel. The receptionist was very apologetic but said that the parking was limited and she would make sure there was one available for us the next day. I explained that I was very annoyed by this and luckily we were able to find a parking space just down the road. However, our courteous treatment by the staff especially Alice the receptionist more than made up for this initial disappointment. We were immediately upgraded to a lovely large room overlooking the seafront, and the next day by 8am Alice had reserved us a parking space so we didn’t have to pay any on-street parking charges. There is no doubt that the hotel has seen better days and is a little tired around the edges, but it has a lot more character than the Travel Lodge down the road! The staff were very friendly, polite and pleasant and the room was cleaned to a very good standard and it’s in a great location.A big thanks to Alice and all the staff for making our short stay very memorable and enjoyable. It’s worth paying the extra for the cooked breakfast which was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Worthing.
