Worthing is an attractive sea side town within easy reach of the South Downs. It has a long promenade, lovely gardens, a restored pier and lido plus entertainment to suit all ages. There are Creche facilities available for some classes and so your children will have a good time whilst you are working out. Alternatively, why not take your children to the Aquarena. The outdoor pool in the summer months is a popular place to sit and relax whilst your children have the time of their lives. In winter stay warm inside in the main pool or teach those nippers how to swim in the learner pool.
There are many Parks and Gardens throughout Worthing offering leisure activities such as cricket, bowls, hockey, children's play and much more. The open spaces are used for fairs, car shows and the ever popular 'Party in the Park' hosted by Splash FM, Worthing's local radio station. Worthing hosts a wide variety of shows and exhibitions.

Villages. The area is renowned for its stately homes and gardens. Highdown Gardens,
just outside Worthing, has been deemed a National Collection and
has received the coveted Green Flag Award. The views are spectacular
and the rare plants and trees are especially worth a visit. Wakehurst Place,
Leonardslee Gardens, with its spectacular rhododendrons in a romantic
valley, Borde Hill Gardens and Parham Gardens
are all close by. Many a visitor flocks here to watch the bowls at Beach
House Park or to take a stroll through exquisite gardens.
Worthing is an ideal base from which to tour the rest of Sussex either by car, bicycle, public transport or indeed by foot. Nearby attractions include beautiful Arundel Castle and Cathedral situated in an almost perfect Valley setting. The South Downs offer hundreds of miles to explore and, if you get tired, you can relax in the warm pubs or teashops in charming Sussex villages along the way. Heritage lovers will not want to miss St. Mary's House with its historic ruins situated in Bramber, a beautiful and tranquil Sussex Village. Nearby there is horse racing at Fontwell Park.

the racing, is a
popular attraction, or indeed Worthing's own award-winning museum and art
gallery. The Bluebell Railway is a short drive away with the steam
train running through the heart of the Sussex countryside.
Worthing has three 18-hole courses - two at the Worthing Golf Club and one at the Hillbarn Golf Course.
Close by is Brighton, a popular seaside resort renowned for its Lanes, the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Pier and its many other attractions.
